Animal Testing Policy Update

Au Naturale has been a voice for policy change since day one. As pioneers in the Clean Beauty Revolution, we have advocated for greater transparency, championed for greater regulation in animal testing and cheered as our industry has made meaningful headway. Today, we celebrate a few big wins in three state governments.

Last year California’s governor approved SB 1249 Cruelty-Free Cosmetics Act (CCFCA). It is set to go into effect Jan 1, 2020.

What does this mean for our furry friends?

No animal testing on finished goods or ingredients after the Jan 1, 2020 cut-off date. Learn more about this bill here.

Au Naturale is Leaping Bunny Certified (the more rigorous of the vegan and cruelty free certifications), and readily in compliance with this bill.

New standards have been set in the State of Illinois and Nevada, to take effect January 1, 2020. As an additional precautionary measure, we verify statements from our vendors citing that their products are in compliance with this bill.
