Summer is the season for simplicity and less is more as summer activities take precedence! Founder Ashley Prange shares her guide to the essential summer must-haves.
STEP ONE: The Perfect Base
There are two season-less items I always prepare my skin with post cleansing: Our organic Zero-Gravity C2P Foundation and our Semi-Matte Powder Foundation in Lucia. Why are these two items essential everyday? Because they act as the perfect natural first defense against the sun! The non-nano titanium dioxide that our foundations are formulated with are second most reflective to diamonds, pushing out the sun’s rays and acting like a natural SPF. Our foundations lend enough coverage to create a flawless foundation base while hydrating and protecting my skin while I'm outside enjoying the summer months.
STEP TWO: Sun-Kissed Glow
My skin is combination and tends to be more oily during the summer season which begs for a powder bronzer. My favorite bronzer is our Pure Powder Bronzer in Golden Henna- it has a slight shimmer that may look intimidating in the jar, but lends a beautiful glow once applied on the skin. I love this bronzer on almost everyone. Because it’s NOT matte, there is minimal risk of layering the bronzer that could result in a "cakey" finish. Should I want a Creme Bronzer, (yes there are times in the summer when my skin is dehydrated!) I opt for our Luminous Creme Bronzer in Latte because it's formulated with organic ingredients that calm and heal my skin.
STEP THREE: Eye Catching Color

In the summer months, I pull out the High Tide, Deep Sea, and Amethyst eye pencils to compliment my green eyes. Eye liners are my favorite way to add bold color and interest to my makeup routine. If I’m headed to the beach I skip the mascara, otherwise I coat my lashes with our Bold Statement Vegan Mascara and head out the door!
STEP FOUR: One Stop Blush and Lip Color

Right now I am loving the multistick in Cosmo for lip and cheek (apply more for intense evening color!) topped with Prosecco on the cheek for highlight. OPTIONAL STEP FIVE: Hydrate your Lips!
You won't catch me without our Lip Slick Tinted Lip Oil! I keep one of our lip oils in my purse, in my pocket AND in my car! I move between Cassis and Rosé - a little Cassis over Cosmo is a beautiful blue/pink that is swoon worthy!!
